Undercover lovers

It has been pouring for two days straight. Jada and I had to spend the day in our hoodies to hide what the rain has done to our manes.

Dreams *do* come true.

I was one of those poor, poor little girls who struggled growing up because she did not own the Barbie Dream House. I did try to craft my own out of an old box, using magazine pages as wallpaper. I even found some carpet remnants for flooring. It was RAD. But still not the "real" dream house.

Check out this front-loading washer and dryer. STILL better than what I've got in real life!

Yesterday, I found out via the AP that Jonathan Adler (hello, one of my fave designers evah) designed a real-life dream house for a human-size Barbie!

Wall-to-wall PINK carpet, a kitchen full of cupcake-making supplies and a fancy chandelier made of blonde wigs!? Oh, my.

Just call me mid-century mod.

I took the HGTV "What's your style?" quiz today. I was a little afraid of the results because, I have to admit, I like a little bit 'bout everything these days.

Turns out I know exactly what I am and what I like: open, airy, organic spaces, all about form and function. Sophisticated and sleek yet approachable, alluring. My home is Mid-Century Modern.

So I would L-O-V-E my (ahem, our) bedroom to look like this:

Oh, yes, I would! Oh em gee. Love, love, LOVE it. By the way, I stole this picture from HGTV.

Curious about your style? You can take the quiz right here.

This might be my next project.

How cute is this?

As if I don't have enough projects going on (see blank canvas below, which will be my project, I am finding, for the better part of this season ... or longer), I can't help but want to make this cute little butterfly picture art. I found the idea on LollyChops.
